![]() In any case Im in the process of merging these two older computers into one good and one bad :P Gotta have one extra for LAN. On that one the HD suddenly decided to be unstable (sometimes not recognized in BIOS (POST), usually after warm reset I think). That one I have installed Giants onto, and it works just fine as far as I can see. In addition, I have yet another old computer, almost identical to the above (which also is in pieces atm but for different reasons). When I reset the computer, same thing.Īfter removing the GPU, a quick test on the internal VGA from the motherboard seems to indicate the rest works (I hope so). I left it for a while, and when I returned it was just "digital snow" on it. I had to move it a little, wait and see where it was, then correct it if I wanted to click something. And without launching game every time from command line, write the rule into app shortcut file. For steam, you can simply add gamemoderun command as launch option. For example, run SuperTux2 in GameMode via: gamemoderun supertux2. What happened (just over a week ago), was that I experienced slowdowns while browsing (FYI ubuntu forums, so nothing demanding), mouse was unusably jittery. For other games, you can now run the executable command by adding gamemoderun at the beginning. Btw I hadn't installed Giants on that one. I recommend both to anyone who is having trouble with fps or anyone who. The superb game boost 3.0 is a shareware program that optimizes your computer for a specific game. Advanced system care will clean up your computer and can open up ram if you use speed boost on it. Using the 2 together increased my fps from 50 to 80. The rest seems to work, but I'm about to rebuild it soon-ish so haven't tested much yet. I downloaded iobit advanced system care 9 and Superb Game Boost 3.0. I haven't looked into it yet, other than confirming that my graphics adapter most likely broke down. (New graphics adapter, yet I play 10 year old games :P)īut, when I think about it, something similar did happen to me on an older computer I have. Can you give me some information about your machine? So I know what kind of OS and hardware can run Giants without any problems. ![]() This game is the only game that gives me such a problem. :PĬPU - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 2.5 GHz 800 MHz FSB 6 MB L2 Cache Do you have this problem with other games/programs? Did this problem suddenly appear, or has it always been like this with this game? If not, what changes (if any) did you make? I always make sure there is nothing running in the background other than the usual Vista stuff. However, you should post a bit more info about your system, OS, cpu, speed etc, or else it will be very hard to guess for anyone. I havent tried it myself yet (game booster, ) but maybe give it a go. What programs do you run simultaneously? I just heard of game booster that might help if this is the cause (or you can manually close any conflicting programs, of course). Sounds like some periodical background process using a lot of cpu. Coilwinder: I haven't experienced this, so I'm not sure if I can help.
